Bonfire night is one of the best ways to light up the dark skies, inject a burst of colour and compete with your own Guy Fawkes creations. There is something about fireworks that creates an awe-inspiring experience whereby you can’t stop yourself from letting out an excited “oooo” or “wooow”.
Flemings Mayfair is here with suggestions for fireworks displays in London ensuring you will have a great evening. Whether you are looking for a fun family Guy Fawkes Night or you want to see the biggest and loudest fireworks, we have the answer for you below.
The best firework displays in London have to start with the Lord Mayor’s Show and Fireworks. There is a parade and entertainment throughout the afternoon, before an elaborate firework display over the River Thames in the evening. The best view will be seen from along Victoria Embankment or South Bank. The firework display 2014 will begin at approximately 5.15pm on Saturday 8th November. This is a fascinating display that will ensure you feel the booms echo through you.
If you are looking for a less busy and more child friendly bonfire night 2014 then why not head to one of the events slightly further out such as Barnes Sports Clubs Big Bonfire Night. This is a well organised event that is perfect for families wanting a fun evening that is tailored to the whole family. Here children can enter the ‘Best Guy Competition’ and enjoy their own gentler firework display before the main display starts at around 7.45pm. Food and drink will all be available so go along a little earlier to enjoy the full evening. Gates open at 5.30pm on Saturday 1st November.
So now you know where to watch fireworks, grab your scarf (but don’t worry the weather is predicted to be clear and mild for this time of year) and head out with your friends and family for a fun evening!
