Summer has arrived in England and we are all hoping the sunshine is here to stay. At The Grill, Flemingsr>Mayfai, we are celebrating the warm temperatures with the launch of our ‘By Rosemary Shrager’ summer menu.
Rosemary Shrager said: “Summer is my favourite time of year because we are spoilt for choice with a bounty of British produce. So in our new menu we have incorporated some classic combinations, the lamb with pea and mint, and potato dauphinoise are a real treat. For dessert, we have created something very special using Pimms ingredients, and this is my favourite dish on the menu.”
The starters on this menu are great for igniting your appetite. There is a choice of ‘Tomato and pepper consommé with herb panna cotta (served cold)’ or ‘Smoked mackerel with apple salad, celeriac puree and dill jelly’. These dishes use natural ingredients and are light enough for you to savour the colourful flavours without spoiling your next dish.
Our Salesr>Mnager, Nicole, recently dined at The Grill, award winning restaurant Mayfair, and recommends anyone who enjoys fish to try the Fillet of cod in a shellfish crust with cassoulet and a lobster sauce for their main course. She explained the dish was very tasty with a variety of flavours that worked together remarkably, creating a delicious meal. Her guest particularly enjoyed the ‘Duo of roast rump and braised belly of lamb with broad bean and pea fricassee, dauphinoise potatoes.’ She said, with the rich taste of young lamb, summer vegetables and creamy potato, this dish had the perfect balance.
The desserts on this menu truly reflect summer with the choice of either a ‘Trio of strawberries with elderflower sorbet’ or ‘Orange polenta cake with Pimm’s jelly’; these options create a temptation that is a little too hard to resist!
